Data-Informed Teaching Community of Practice

Are you interested in collaborating with other instructors and supporting each other in using data to improve student success at the course and/or program level? Join the Data-Informed Teaching Community of Practice. The first meeting will be on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Playing with Education: Gamifying the Classroom

Members of this Faculty Learning Community will explore strategies for incorporating games into teaching to facilitate content learning, engage students in active learning, and make learning fun. They’ll also look at integrating the tech and tools needed for leveraging games and gamification principles. Application is due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.

Connect with Peers About Technology

Consider joining an instructional technology user group. These sessions are a great way for instructors to connect and see how others are using technology in their classes. The Top Hat Group will meet from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. The Teaching with ICON Group will convene from to 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26.
