Upcoming Events Reminders

Spring 2021 On-Campus Interview Program

Spring OCI’s will be open to all students and will include a variety of employers (government, judicial, public interest, firm) as well as employers interviewing for various locations. Student bidding for OCI’s will run from January 5, 2021 to January 11, 2021. We will send out detailed instructions for bidding as the time approaches. OCI interviews will be conducted virtually. Interviews will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting on January 26, 2021 and running though February. There is a limited number of employers each day. If you anticipate needing a quiet space in the law school in which you can conduct your virtual interviews, please complete this brief survey.

While OCI’s are a great opportunity to interview with diverse employers, please do not feel like you must wait for OCI to apply for jobs. 2L and 3L’s can start applying to positions now! If you are a 1L, you should start applying over winter break, unless you see an interesting job that has an earlier deadline. We will distribute the current list of employers who have signed up to take part in OCI on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 however employers have until January 4, 2021 to register. If you have questions about when to apply, please reach out to a Career Advisor!

Diversity Fellowship/Scholarship Opportunities

ABA’s Business Law Section regarding the 2021 Diversity Clerkship Program

The Diversity Clerkship Program is a summer program that provides business law clerkship placements for qualified diverse second year law students.  Participating clerks receive support and mentoring in the business law field and exposure to business practices that many of them lack.

The purpose of the Diversity Clerkship Program is to provide hands-on experience and exposure in Business Law to law students. Roles and responsibilities of selected Diversity Clerkship participants include but are not limited to the following: researching cases, drafting memoranda and opinions, observing trials, and networking with local attorneys and judges. In addition to a placement in a business court clerkship, Diversity Clerkship participants will also receive a stipend of $3,000 to cover living expenses for the duration of the 8-week clerkship.
