Fall 2019 Final Exam Schedule Published

This email is being sent to all instructors teaching Fall 2019 courses. Instructors teaching in a professional college can disregard this email as the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, and Pharmacy do not follow the final exam schedule created by the Office of the Registrar.

We are pleased to announce the Fall 2019 Final Examination Schedule (December 16 – 20) is now available to campus on the Office of the Registrar’s website.

Primary instructors may access their official individual final exam schedule online through MAUI. Instructions for doing so are located on the Office of the Registrar's website, if needed. Benefits of the online schedule include:

  • Course section responsibilities for administering makeup finals in the event a student has been identified with a qualified exam conflict, and
  • Course supervisors have the ability to view the final exam assignments for those course sections they supervise.

Student Schedules. Students are being notified today of the publishing of the Fall 2019 Final Examination Schedule, available to them via MyUI.

Student Exam Conflicts. Students with qualified exam conflicts who wish to request a makeup exam, according to exam precedence rules, have been instructed to speak with their course instructor by October 1st. We recommend faculty get in touch with their students identified with qualifying exam conflicts in order to facilitate the communication process and assist students who may be new to the process.

Make-up Exams. Faculty needing to issue a makeup final exam may use the 5:30-7:30 pm exam period on the Friday final exam date but are not required to use this period. This exam period is reserved for makeup final exams only. No regular final exams are scheduled during this period.

Seating Layout Plans. University Classrooms with a seating capacity of 100 or more include seat and row number identifications. Seating layout plans for these rooms are available online to assist faculty as they make their exam arrangements.

Policies and Additional Information. The final examination schedule, examination policies, and additional informational resources may be found on the Office of the Registrar's website.
