Mohammed Milhem is leading a UI Health Care oncology clinical trial that is demonstrating a new way of using the immune system to fight cancer. Using a treatment called RP1, a cancerous tumor is injected with a virus that turns the cancer into its own enemy by attacking it from within, then signaling for reinforcements from the immune system.
