You can cheer on the Hawks during the national semifinal game Friday against No. 1 South Carolina at a free watch party at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. ahead of the 8:30 p.m. scheduled tipoff. Go Hawks!

 

OVPR announces 18 recipients of Discovery and Innovation Awards

The Office of the Vice President for Research is recognizing 18 exceptional researchers, scholars, innovators, students, and administrators with 2023 Discovery and Innovation Awards. The winners range from undergraduate student researchers to faculty members who lead in their fields.

Memorial service for former UI President Sandy Boyd will be April 7

The family of former University of Iowa President Willard "Sandy" Boyd will host a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Hancher Auditorium. Boyd died on Dec. 13, 2022, at the age of 95. The service will include a program of remarks and a reception. For those unable to attend in person, it will be livestreamed on the Office of the President website.

First Avenue over I-80 in Coralville is reduced to one lane in each direction, which is causing delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Event: Introducing and understanding ChatGPT
