ICTS Clinical Trials Managment System (CTMS)

The University of Iowa has recently launched a new institution-wide Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) designed to streamline and strengthen clinical research operations. This integrated system supports every phase of a clinical trial by offering tools for participant tracking, financial management, regulatory compliance, and data collection.

Among its many capabilities, the CTMS features a robust participant tracking system and comprehensive research financials. It also includes a Part 11-compliant electronic regulatory binder and a Part 11- compliant Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platform. Additionally, the system is fully integrated with many existing University of Iowa platforms such as Epic and ePost, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.

The successful implementation of the CTMS is a testament to the collaborative efforts of UI leadership and research teams dedicated to advancing clinical research excellence.
