While studying is necessary, so is taking time to recharge and care for your mental and physical health. Embrace the power of breaks, stay active, and prioritize self-care to keep your spirits high and your mind sharp. Also, remember that fall break is just around the corner!

Explore and apply for available scholarships

Current students can apply for scholarships from Nov. 11 to Jan. 12. When you sign into the scholarship portal, update the information on your general application to identify additional scholarships. Your academic department could also offer scholarships that do not appear in the portal, so watch for communication from your department.

Also, a reminder FAFSA applications will open by Dec. 1, and the priority deadline is Feb. 1.

To drop or not to drop? Consider these things

There are still several weeks left in the semester to improve your standing. However, if you want to drop a class or to withdraw from all classes you must do so by Nov. 18. How do you decide whether to stick with a class or let it go? Think about these things.

The Hawkeye Late Night Vouchers pilot program, in partnership with Uber, offers students discounted rides for late-night travel near campus. This initiative provides affordable and safe on-demand rides for students during late hours.
