This is the 10th year Iowa has earned this prestigious honor, with the UI ranking 20th among doctoral institutions and boasting one of the highest applicant-to-awardee ratios in the country. Partial federal government shutdown ended Tuesday

Congress passed a spending package on Tuesday to reopen the federal government after a brief, partial shutdown. The bill restores normal operations and funding to the remaining federal agencies through the end of September. See the Federal Updates webpage for more details.
