The first day of classes is right around the corner!
We can’t wait to welcome our students back to campus on Aug. 25 and are ready to meet our latest cohort of first-year and transfer students this week during the CLAS Welcome Party, as part of On Iowa!

Carver Professorship, which recognizes the highest levels of achievement in scholarship and teaching. | | | | Dan Matheson, director of the Sport and Recreation Management program in the Department of Health, Sport, and Human Physiology, addressed the NCAA House settlement and the future of college athletics during a panel with Big Ten leaders.
| | | Professor and DEO Andrew Casto, along with 14 undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Art, Art History, and Design, traveled to Salt Lake City earlier this year for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts.

The Discover Your University program offers visits to various campus sites, providing faculty and staff opportunities to learn about various programs on campus, including the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

All College of Liberal Arts and Sciences faculty are invited to attend the annual meeting, which will recognize recent faculty achievements including named professorships, and collegiate awards for promotion and tenure, and teaching and engagement.
