| | | Jovana Davidovic, associate professor in the Department of Philosophy, will use the grant from the Research Council of Norway to develop ethical risk management frameworks for AI-enabled weapons, a rapidly evolving field with significant global implications. | | Mariola Espinosa, associate professor in the Department of History, was one of 78 recipients of the National Endowment for the Humanities grant, the nation’s most prestigious humanities scholarship. | | | Mark Blumberg, DEO and professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, received the 2025 Distinguished Scientist Award from the Sleep Research Society. Much of his recent research aims to answer why animals, including humans, sleep the most when they are young.
| | Dean Bakopoulos, associate professor in the Department of Cinematic Arts, began his career as a novelist who then became interested in adapting his works for the big screen. He enjoys mentoring other writers and helping students make their scripts even better.
