Dean's Message

Thank you to all of our alumni who came back to Iowa City for homecoming last weekend. We had over 200 alumni and friends at our final alumni tailgate of 2024 on Saturday and it was a great event made even better with faculty emeriti Drs. Holmes and Clancy and their band, The DogFathers, performing for the group. Over the next couple of weeks, we are wrapping up our fall slate of CE courses and finish interviewing prospective DDS students, who are applying to begin dental school in the fall of 2025. College of Dentistry to host First-Gen Celebration

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, the College of Dentistry is hosting a First-Gen Celebration in W220B from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Faculty, staff, students, and residents are invited to grab beverages and share support for First-Gen students. This event celebrates the accomplishments of first-generation college students and provides a welcoming space for them to share experiences and insights with the college community. Join us in recognizing our First-Gen students and strengthening the bonds that make our college a welcoming place for all.
