It finally feels like fall on campus with the weather cooling and the leaves changing — just in time for UI Homecoming!
Mark your calendar for the Homecoming Parade on Friday, Oct. 25 at 5:45 p.m. CLAS is once again serving as a sponsor and participating in the parade float competition. The college is seeking about 20 volunteers to help hand out goodies while walking with the float throughout downtown. You can still sign up to walk, but spots are filling fast!
All are welcome to come cheer and spectate during the parade. If you’re looking for new CLAS gear, don’t miss out — the apparel store is open until Oct. 16, featuring popular favorites and several new items to choose from.
The Mary Louise Kelley Professional Development Award encourages CLAS staff to pursue job-related education, training, and other professional activities with an award of up to $500. Apply by Friday, Nov. 15.
Please join us in welcoming and congratulating CLAS faculty and staff on their hiring, promotion, or transfer within the college. Check out this list of CLAS employee updates from last month.
