The Mark Foundation has announced the Emerging Leader Award for early-career cancer researchers.
This award supports innovative, high-risk cancer research from early-career investigators and provides $1,000,000 in funding over four years. Eligible applicants are independent researchers who established their laboratories between 2018 and 2023 and have demonstrated a record of independent funding. Letters of Intent are due by April 30, 2026. Applicant webinars will be held on April 7 and 8.
ARPA-H announced the One Comprehensive Universal Radiotherapy for Everyone (1-CURE) Program.
This program aims to transform cancer treatment by developing a single, rapid, low-cost radiotherapy approach effective across all cancer types, including local, metastatic, and treatment-resistant cancers. This initiative integrates two core innovations: multifunctional smart radiotherapy biomaterials and Abscopal Treatment Planning System. Solution summaries are required and due April 15, 2026. | | | New Limited Submission Opportunities | | Description: The DOE Office of Science (SC), Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI), Office of Environmental Management (EM), Office of Nuclear Energy (NE), Office of Electricity (OE), and Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Office (HGEO) hereby announce interest in receiving applications from interdisciplinary teams addressing the Genesis Mission National Science and Technology Challenges to accelerate scientific discovery and research and development (R&D) workflows using novel artificial intelligence (AI) models and frameworks. Teams are encouraged to leverage the extensive scientific and data resources of the DOE/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the National Laboratories, U.S. industry, and academia. DOE is soliciting new FY26 Phase I small team and Phase II large team applications in the following topic areas: advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, critical materials, nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, quantum information science, semiconductors and microelectronics, discovery science, and energy.
| Description: The purpose of this NOFO is to support community coalitions that work to prevent and reduce substance use among youth. This NOFO aligns with the Drug-Free Communities (DFC)’s Support Program’s two goals: 1) Establish and strengthen collaboration among community stakeholders and organizations to address youth substance use, and 2) Reduce substance use among youth and, over time, reduce substance use among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increase the risk of substance use and/or promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance use.
