Deadline

This is a friendly follow up reminder to our initial email contact with you on April 17, 2025.

Departments that have already submitted their summer 2025 final exam assignment needs through MAUI may disregard this reminder. Summer 2025 final exam assignment needs must be submitted by each department no later than the above deadline by using the "Exam Needs" submission application in MAUI. Each department should fill out the form for all undergraduate and graduate courses to which they are department home.

Important: If a course does not require a final exam date/time from the Registrar's Office, or will be scheduling their exam with Distance and Online Education, please indicate that the course will not have a final exam in the "Exam Needs" application.

Summer Final Exam Submission and Deadline

During the summer session, faculty have the opportunity to administer the final exam/assessment for their course either:

  • during their last regularly scheduled course meeting time; or
  • on the respective Friday final exam date for their subsession

Final exam needs are submitted online via the "Exam Needs" submission application in MAUI. Departments must submit their requests no later than Friday, May 2, 2025.

Summer 2025 Final Exam Dates

  • 4-Week Session: Friday, June 13, 2025
  • 6-Week I Session: Friday, June 27, 2025
  • 6-Week II, 8-Week, and 12-Week Sessions: Friday, Aug. 8, 2025

Instructions and Policies

Instructions for final exam submissions and final exam scheduling policies are located on the Office of the Registrar's website.

Incomplete and Late Submissions

If no information is submitted for an undergraduate-level course, a final exam date and time with single seating will be automatically assigned. Please indicate that no exam assignment is needed if the course will not be holding a final exam.

Faculty Review Period

There will not be a faculty review opportunity due to the very short turn-around time involved with producing the summer schedule.

Professional Colleges

We understand the Carver College of Medicine and the Colleges of Dentistry, Law, and Pharmacy maintain their own final exam schedules and generally do not follow the final exam schedule set by the Office of the Registrar.

We recognize that some departments offer courses that allow undergraduate student enrollment. You can request a final exam assignment from the Office of the Registrar for these course sections in order to reduce the likelihood of exam conflicts for undergraduate students. This can potentially help limit the need for makeup final exam arrangements by your instructors. Requests must be submitted by the deadline above.
