- Deadline to apply for a spring 2023 degree is February 24.
- Deadline to apply for a summer 2023 degree is June 9. (However, if you plan on attending the spring commencement ceremony, you will need to apply for your summer earlier.

If you plan on taking a summer course, please schedule an advising appointment in February to be authorized to register for summer courses.

Innovation Challenge - Award $150,000 in Prices
Innovation Challenge is a university-wide competition with the goal to identify, advance, and support the most innovative and entrepreneurial projects on campus.
- Will help bring $225,000 in funding to be awarded during the 2022-23 academic year across the University of Iowa campus.
- DEADLINE to Apply - March 27th
- Business Model Competition will be held April 10-11

| | National Study Abroad Day | Studying abroad is one of the most transformative experiences a student can have in college. In order to highlight and bring awareness to the benefits and impact of studying overseas, the University of Iowa is celebrating National Study Abroad Day on February 27.
- Three essential information sessions hosted by advisors, financial aid experts, and UI students who have already studied abroad.
- 10:30 a.m. - Discover Study Abroad
- 1 p.m. - Financing Study Abroad
- 5 p.m. - Hawks Like Me
- Attendees will learn the basics of study abroad, discover scholarship opportunities, and hear from study abroad returnees
- All events will be held at 1117 University Capitol Centre

| | Student-led DEI - Panel Discussion | We would like to invite you to a student-led DEI Panel Discussion.
- Held at Iowa City Public Library Meeting Room A from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 25th
- The event entitled “Understanding Diversity Through Foreign Language Study: A Student-Led Discussion” is organized by UI Department of Asian and Slavic Languages and Literatures (ASLL) with CAPS as a co-sponsor.
- Students and alumni from all ASLL programs (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian) will discuss a wide range of topics related to self-discovery and alterations to worldview that come as a result of foreign language study.

- Have completed at least one year of Spanish or Portuguese studies by the time of departure
- Dr. Michael L. and Darlene M. McNulty Scholarship
- Plan to study in West Africa for at least one semester of an academic year
- James L. and Rubie S. Watson Study Aboard Scholarship
- Plan to study in one of the following countries or territories: China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or India
- Joel D. and Sandra Barkan Scholarship
- Plan to study in one of the following countries: sub-Saharan Africa, Asia-including Central Asia, Latin America, Middle East-including North Africa
- Naomi Gunderson Scholarship for Foreign Language Study Abroad
- Clearly demonstrate an intention to develop advanced proficiency in the language of study
- Richard J. Tyner Scholarship
- Have declared a major in one of the following: French, Italian, International Relations, Political Science
- Stuart A. Lundquist Memorial Fund Scholarship
- Be a declared French major
