| | After working as a dental hygienist for several years, PhD candidate Jennifer Sukalski began pursuing health disparities research on access and use of dental care in Iowa. Her research looks at barriers to dental care in a holistic manner taking into account perceived social status. The participating dental students and the tooth fairy visited the coffee shop, told stories, and did a science experiment. The event, as always, was well received and was an opportunity to promote oral health in the community. He previously worked as a clerk in the neurosurgery clinic at UIHC. He is from Conesville, IA, a small town. He is a very outgoing person, and he enjoys the outdoors, watching and attending football and hockey games, and shopping.
