Advising Update

  • International Studies Advisor Meredith Mahy Gall (for students with 30+ sh) is now located in 111-D PH. I am available for appointments via Zoom and in-person. For in-person appointments, please go to 111 Phillips Hall, sign in at the yellow kiosk, and have a seat. 
  • Have room for one more semester hour in your schedule? Check out these great off-cycle options for Fall 2022-- Working Internationally: Global Business and Communication or Global Research: Strategies and Skills
  • Run a new degree audit to make sure that your fall 22 courses are completing needed requirements.
  • Important Dates: 
    • 8/22/22-8/28/22: Add, drop, or change existing registration on MyUI  
    • 8/29/22: Course drops on MyUI require advisor’s approval; course adds on MyUI require advisor and instructor/department approval 
    • 9/2/22: Last day to drop without a W and last day to drop individual courses for tuition/fee reduction

Student Employment Job Fair

You are invited to attend the Student Employment Job Fair on Wednesday, August 24 from 11 am – 2 pm in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union. Land a job as you start the school year - meet with over 25 on-campus and work study employers. Bring your work availability – including class schedule and any other obligations you might have. There is no need to dress up – come as you are in between classes if you need to! Research the employers and jobs beforehand in Handshake

 

Community of Color

The Center for Inclusive Academic Excellence cordially invites you to attend the 2022 Community of Color. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, August 25th at 3:00pm-5:00pm in the IMU 2nd Floor Ballroom. There will be opportunities to network and learn about multicultural student organizations on campus.
