Advising Information

  • Registration continues for Winter 2022 and Spring 2023. If you haven’t already, please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to be authorized to register.
  • All UI offices are closed December 26, December 27 and January 2.
  • Phillips Hall will be closed from December 17 through January 2nd—DWLLC staff will be working remotely and available by phone/email during this time (except for the dates above when UI is closed).
  • Winter 2022 classes begin on December 19th.
    • The last day to drop a winter class and NOT be charged any tuition is Sunday, December 18th.
    • The last day to drop a winter course without a W is Friday, December 23rd.
    • If you drop a course between December 19 and December 24th, you will be held to 10% of tuition and fees. Starting December 25th, you will still be held to 100% tuition and fees if you drop a course.

Spring 23 classes begin on January 17th.

World Languages Student Ambassador Program

The Division of World Languages, Literatures & Cultures is excited to announce our new World Languages Student Ambassador program for the 2023 Spring semester!

Being a World Languages Student Ambassador is an exciting volunteer experience where you get the opportunity to showcase your passion for language learning and share your experiences while enhancing your leadership skills.

If you are interested and would like to know more about this opportunity, read through the attachments, attend an information session, and please let us know if you have any questions!

  • Dec 5 – Online application opens
  • Jan 22 – Application closes & interview recording must be emailed by 11:59pm
  • Jan 27 – Application outcomes emailed by 11:59pm
  • Jan 30 – Position offers must be accepted by 11:59pm
