Co-chairs, committee named in College of Pharmacy dean search

University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students have been named to the search committee for a new dean of the College of Pharmacy. The committee will be co-chaired by Clark Stanford, dean of the College of Dentistry, and Nicole Brogden, the Ting-Fong and Nei-Jia Chin Professor in Pharmaceutics.

Be part of history: Get your tickets to the women’s wrestling Trailblazer Duals

The Iowa women’s wrestling team will make history on Nov. 12 when it hosts the Trailblazer Duals, the university’s first-ever women’s wrestling meet at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tickets are on sale now. The Trailblazer Duals will feature the four schools that have NCAA Division 1 women’s wrestling teams.

Reminder: Daylight saving time ends this weekend

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night so you’ll be on time for your Sunday events. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, which means we’ll get an extra hour of sleep but will have an extra hour of afternoon darkness each day until March 10.

UI College of Dentistry student named 2023 Pat Tillman scholar

Zach Graham, a third-year graduate student in the College of Dentistry, has been named a 2023 Pat Tillman Scholar, which is given to 60 U.S. service members, Veterans, and military spouses nationwide each year. Graham was chosen for the honor for his passion for dental advocacy and dedication to helping others.

UI Operations Manual renamed to Policy Manual

Effective Nov. 3, the UI Operations Manual will be renamed to the Policy Manual. The Policy Manual contains policies and procedures governing the internal operations of the university, and the new title more accurately reflects the role of the manual.
