Happy New Year, fellow CLAS Staff!
February 2022 marks the 175th Anniversary of the University of Iowa and also an opportunity to build leadership skills, connect with the CLAS community, and contribute to your College and campus: Run for CLAS Staff Council!
Nominations open February 4, through February 11, 2022, and self-nominations are welcome. We value representation in shared governance and recognize the importance of diverse perspectives and voices in our CLAS leadership groups. We encourage nominations and self-nominations of staff who identify as underrepresented minorities, Black and Indigenous people of color, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, and other minoritized or marginalized categories.
The CLAS Staff Council has eleven members elected from and by the CLAS staff from the five Voting Groups as well as two elected “At Large” from any Voting Group. This year there are FIVE member seats to fill, from ALL Voting Groups—so this is a great year for anyone to run for election!
