News from the Office of Research

The Office of Research has developed a new Research Administration Support Office (RASO) for departments in the college who have a need for research administration assistance related to pre- and post-award processes, including clinical trials invoicing. Lena Jaspering is the Research Support Manager of this office and has fabulous experience. The cost of the service is split between the department and the RASO.

Core Updates

PrometheION Coming Soon to IIHG Genomics

Long-read sequencing capabilities will soon expand to include services using the Oxford Nanopore PromethION. The PromethION flow cell can generate up to 290 Gb for sequencing DNA, cDNA or native RNA in real-time. In addition, base-modification information including 5mC and 5hmC can be obtained.
