ARPA-H launches the CATALYST Program to develop computer models that predict safety and efficacy for new drug candidates.

The Computational ADME-Tox and Physiology Analysis for Safer Therapeutics (CATALYST) invites proposals across three technical areas: data discovery and deep learning methods for drug safety models, living systems tools for model development, and in silico models of human physiology.

Minerva announces the University Research Program for innovative basic research to advance social science.

Minerva’s University Research Program aims to support innovative basic research projects that contribute to the advancement of social science and provide new methods and understandings on social and behavioral questions of security and defense-related interest. Minerva aims to improve DoD’s basic understanding of the social, cultural, behavioral, and political forces that shape regions of the world of strategic importance to the U.S.

DOE: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applied to Nuclear Science and Technology

Description: The DOE SC program in Nuclear Physics (NP) hereby announces its interest in receiving applications for research and development (R&D) efforts directed at artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for autonomous optimization and control of accelerators and detectors of relevance to current or next generation NP accelerator facilities and scientific instrumentation, as well as applications applying AI/ML to advance nuclear physics computations.

Description: The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Preservation and Access is accepting applications for the Preservation Assistance Grants for Smaller Institutions program. The purpose of this program is to help small and mid-sized institutions improve their ability to preserve and care for their significant humanities collections.

Reminder: Keck Foundation Grant Program December Cycle 2024

Description: The Research Program seeks to benefit humanity by supporting projects in two specific areas (1) medical research and (2) science and engineering, that are distinctive and novel in their approach, question the prevailing paradigm, or have the potential to break open new territory in their field.
Limitation: eight concept papers (4 in Medical Research and 4 in Science and Engineering Research) per institution
