| | Welcoming Week 2023 |
Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work in communities to become welcoming places for all, including immigrants. Launched in 2012 by Welcoming America. Welcoming Week provides individuals and organizations the opportunity to showcase their values through events and initiatives that foster connections and collaboration between immigrants and non-immigrants, as well as belonging for all.

| | Student Impact Grant | The University of Iowa Office of the President and the University of Iowa Student Advancement Network (SAN) have partnered to create Student Impact Grants, which provide funding for a variety of undergraduate and graduate student activities outside of the classroom, such as research, travel, and service projects. The goal is to enable students to pursue opportunities that might not otherwise be possible without financial assistance.
Grant amounts will range from $100 - $1,000 awards.
Winter 2023 And Spring 2024 Semester Award
- September 29th – Application deadline (5 p.m.)
- November 16th – Grant recipients will be notified about funding requests for winter or spring semester.

The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library continues to partner with Anna Cooková, an instructor with CzechTalk, to offer online Czech language and culture lessons.
- This Fall, Beginner’s Czech Language & Culture I starts on Tuesday, September 12, 2023
- Each class will be held from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. central time every Tuesday from September 12 – November 14
- During the 15 hours of instruction over 10 weeks, participants will learn to read, write, and speak in Czech.
