Welcome Back!

Welcome to Spring 2023!

Hopefully, you enjoyed/made it through the holidays!

If you still need grading/planning ambience, this video may help keep the cold at bay!

Let the CLCL know what you need to make your semester a tad bit easier!

Faculty and Staff Acknowledgments

Giovanni Zimotti (Spanish) and Claire Frances (CLCL) had the article "Robots vs. Humans: Does ChatGPT Pose a Challenge to Second Language Writing?" published in the FLTMAG. Read to find out about why helping students embrace writing in a new light, as "fundamental to their own humanity," may help teachers motivate students in an era of extremely proficient AI.

Teaching Technology

ChatGPT has garnered a lot of attention recently. In "Using ChatGPT to Design Language Material and Exercises," Frederick Poole (Michigan State University) writes about how this new technology can be used by instructors. If we end up embracing it, instructors may be able to create more realistic materials. Read here to learn more about how to do this!
