Iowa NASA EPSCoR releases solicitations for the Research Building Seed Grant and Research Award.

The Iowa NASA EPSCoR team has released the solicitation for the Research Building Seed Grant. This grant, funded under the parent award from NASA, helps PIs in Iowa establish and/or strengthen connections to NASA research, with the intent of stronger future proposal development to NASA calls. Proposals are due September 11, 2024.

The Iowa NASA EPSCoR Office is now soliciting for notice of intent and pre-proposals from our research community for the NASA EPSCoR Research Award.  The notice of intent is due September 6, 2024 and the pre-proposal is due November 1, 2024.

Limited Submission Opportunities

NIH: Modern Equipment for Shared-use Biomedical Research Facilities: Advancing Research-Related Operations (S15 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

Description: This NOFO invites eligible academic or research institutions to apply for funding support to purchase latest scientific equipment that will enhance and modernize research-supporting operations of existing shared biomedical research facilities. Targeted are laboratory research core facilities, animal research facilities, and other similar shared-use research spaces.

NIH: Nursing Research Education Program in Firearm Injury Prevention Research: Short Courses (R25 Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

Description: The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The overarching goal of this R25 program is to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nation’s biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs.
