The University of Iowa will celebrate the incredible accomplishments of more than 80 current and emeritus faculty at the inaugural Highly Prestigious Faculty Award Investiture. The ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Hancher Auditorium. The event will honor faculty who have been recognized with a highly prestigious award, as designated by the National Research Council.

The UI Office of Campus Safety will test the Hawk Alert system on March 29 in coordination with the National Weather Service and Johnson County emergency notification drills. This drill does not include the practice of seeking shelter, but you are strongly encouraged to pause and consider what actions you would take if severe weather were approaching.

The university has a training program to help you more confidently and effectively navigate these experiences. Kognito is an online, avatar-based, interactive role-play simulation program for faculty and staff that builds awareness, knowledge, and skills about mental health and suicide prevention.
