Robert Wood Johnson Foundation invites proposals for data visualization of structural racism and place.
This Call for Proposals will fund up to eight interdisciplinary teams that each consist of researchers/data producers, data scientists, communications experts, designers, and national social change networks/alliances/organizations. Funding will support the creation of data visualizations as tools to provide an understanding of structural racism’s impact on place, health, and wellbeing. An applicant Webinar is on May 9th.

National Science Foundation details plans to spend their $1 billion budget increase.
About half the $1 billion budget increase the NSF received for fiscal year 2023 is going to the establishment of the new TIP Directorate. Some will support STEM workforce development, and emerging technologies, leaving discipline-specific divisions with comparatively small increases.
