FIRST Tech championship on March 1-2 in Coralville

The College of Engineering helps develop engineering talent among secondary school students across the state of Iowa. CoE staff member Rebecca Whitaker coordinates FIRST Tech Challenge programs in Iowa and beyond. Best recognized for entertaining robotics competitions, Iowa's FIRST program trains hundreds of young people to think like engineers while gaining skills in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, designing, building, computer programming, and more.

Get a first hand look at the program this weekend. The FIRST Tech Challenge Iowa Championship is scheduled for March 1 and 2 at the Xtream Arena & GreenState Family Fieldhouse in Coralville. Stop by the free event to watch young Iowans put their engineering skills to the test. Learn more here.
