Advising Information | Welcome to the Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (DWLLC) Newsletter! This newsletter is emailed to all students with majors or minors housed in DWLLC. In these newsletters, you will find a variety of information that will connect you to events, resources, funding, and internships/volunteer opportunities.
- Early Registration is from November 7 - December 2. Your registration time for Winter 22 and Spring 23 is now available on MyUI.
- Check your account for holds that need to be resolved before you can register: Common holds includes U-Bill Restriction, Unsigned Student Agreement, Student Health, Missing Transcripts.
- Please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to be authorized to register before your registration date.

| | International Education Week Research Fair | The Graduate College & International Student Support & Engagement (ISSE) are partnering during the 2022 International Education Week to host a mini research fair! This research fair will aim to promote the research conducted by underrepresented students on various international topics. Presentations will be in poster format. They are looking to have 5 undergraduate students, 5 graduate students, and 5 postdoctoral students present their work.
The research fair will be held on Wednesday, November 16th from 3 – 5 PM at the International Commons (1117 UCC). Light refreshments will be provided.

Global Ties is hosting a delegation of emerging leaders from Vietnam from November 3-9th for a program titled "LGBTQI+ Policies and Civil Society in the United States." Find volunteer opportunities HERE.
They are also hosting a delegation of emerging leaders from Mexico from November 5-9th for a program titled "Integration of Migrants and Asylum Seekers in Mexico." Find volunteer opportunities HERE.
You are also invited to meet these delegations at Global Ties Annual Meeting. Join us on Monday, November 7th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Coralville Public Library. Dine on international cuisine, listen to a guest speaker, elect board members, discuss the big changes to our brand, and celebrate the work of our volunteers and members at this community potluck! Our delegations from Vietnam and Mexico will be joining us. Please bring a dish to share so we have enough food for our international guests.
