Office of the Provost and University College Colleagues:
Starting Aug. 6, the management and scheduling of the University Capitol Centre (UCC) Conference Center rooms 2520B, 2520C, and 2520D will be transitioning from Information Technology Services (ITS) to the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
The ITS Training Room at UCC 2523 will continue to be managed by ITS.
As part of the transition, the Office of the Provost will be investing in technology upgrades for 2520D. These updates will create a more modern, flexible space designed to meet the growing need for high-quality remote and hybrid meeting options. A temporary closure of 2520D in late September* will be required to complete the project.
Scheduling can be completed via Outlook. You can request to reserve rooms in the UCC Conference Center - as well as the Executive Boardroom (2390 UCC) - by inviting the room(s) to your meeting. Approval will need to be granted before a reservation is confirmed. Once approved, a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Additional meeting and work space is available in the CoWork Commons (2070/2080 UCC). Conference rooms can be reserved in Outlook.
More information on amenities for each space and instructions on how to reserve a room can be found online. If you need assistance or have questions about scheduling any of the UCC Shared Spaces, please contact Jayme Johnson Strike at jayme-johnson@uiowa.edu or by phone at 319-467-0717.
