Our Stories November/December 2023

Director's Note

We’ve had a great fall semester in SJMC. We’re in the homestretch with classes ending this week and final exams next week. This week we’re hosting the 2023 Magid Anchor Institute. Television anchors from 17 markets around the country will spend two days in hands-on sessions in Adler. SJMC students will get a chance to learn from Magid trainers and anchors in one-on-one and group sessions. Several students will work on the production of TV news exercises. As we look to 2024, we will continue to offer SJMC students opportunities to gain real-world skills and to network with industry leaders across media professions in Iowa City and beyond.
