New benefit alert: Access free virtual mental health visits through Doc on Demand

Starting July 1, employees who are members of UIChoice and UISelect health plans and their covered dependents can receive free virtual mental health visits through Doc on Demand. This new benefit is part of the university’s ongoing effort to prioritize mental health for its employees. Visit the university benefits webpage for more information.

Board of Regents votes to extend President Wilson’s contract

On Wednesday, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, approved a two-year contract extension for President Barbara Wilson, signaling strong support for the president and a positive direction for the university. President Wilson is two years into her initial five-year contract ending in 2026. The board extended her contract to 2028.

Infinite Dream explores the complex fabric of the American Story—our grand accomplishments, disruptive failures, and remarkable potential for excellence.


Regents approve tuition increase for UI students

To address higher inflationary costs, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, approved a tuition increase for University of Iowa students. The board approved a $305 increase to undergraduate tuition and a $381 increase to graduate tuition. These changes will take effect at the start of the fall 2023 semester.
