Search committee members announced for UI Hospitals & Clinics CEO

The University of Iowa has announced the search committee for the next associate vice president and CEO of UI Hospitals & Clinics. The committee will be co-chaired by Colin Derdeyn, chair and departmental executive officer of the Department of Radiology, and Peter Matthes, senior advisor to the president and vice president for external relations.

More than 100 classrooms to receive upgrades before classes begin

As part of an initiative to improve student success, the University of Iowa is spending $2 million to modernize 175 classrooms in 25 buildings this summer. Upgrades include new furniture and other features designed to make classrooms more inclusive, accessible, and mobile. Most of these improvements will be complete by the time classes begin Aug. 21.

New training from University Human Resources will provide supervisors with information to better understand and identify mental health concerns so they will be better equipped to support their teams.
