Student Engagement Fair

This Wednesday, August 30th from 5-7pm at Hubbard Park, there will be a Student Engagement Fair. 

With over 300 registered student organizations, 20 community partners, and vendors, there's something for everyone. Explore a diverse range of interests, hobbies, and causes, and discover how you can get involved and make a difference on campus and beyond. Study Abroad Information Sessions

Would you like to study abroad during your time at the University of Iowa, but don't know where to start? Attend weekly Virtual Discover Study Abroad info sessions to learn how study abroad works and find the right international opportunity for you!  

Discover Study Abroad sessions are the first step for interested students to learn more about the study abroad process and ask any questions they may have, covering topics such as study abroad locations, eligibility, deadlines, academics, and more.

Sessions are offered weekly.

When: Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. and Fridays at 11:00 a.m.

Where: Zoom (meeting details provided to registered participants)

How Long: 30 minutes

To register for a virtual Discover Study Abroad session, please follow these steps:

  1. Decide which date you would like to attend. Sessions are offered every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. and Friday at 11:00 a.m.
  2. Email study-abroad@uiowa.edu with the date you wish to attend and your UID number.

Volunteer with the Iowa Youth Writing Project!

Volunteering with the IYWP is a great activity to boost your resume by teaching writing to underserved schools in our area!

Are you interested in using your creativity to make a MEANINGFUL difference in the lives of Iowa City's kids?

The Iowa Youth Writing Project provides weekly creative writing and activity workshops for K-12 students throughout Eastern Iowa. Workshops provide opportunities for local youth to grow from the talent and and enthusiasm of the University community in an informal setting that emphasizes imagination, self-discovery, social awareness, and play.

University of Iowa International Writing Program

The University of Iowa International Writing Program (IWP) has brought 34 remarkable, talented writers from all over the globe to campus, and we would love for you to connect with them at one of our upcoming events.

Most Fridays this fall, please join us at noon in Meeting Room A of the Iowa City Public Library for panel discussions and free pizza, or for readings and refreshments at the Shambaugh House (430 N Clinton Street) at 5 p.m.

Most Sundays, join us at 4 p.m. for readings at Prairie Lights Books. You can see the current list of IWP events at facebook.com/uiiwp/events.
