Bradley Haws named CEO of UI Hospitals & Clinics

Bradley Haws has been named CEO of University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and associate vice president of UI Health Care. Haws brings more than 30 years of health care leadership experience, which includes his previous role as chief financial officer and associate vice president of UI Health Care from 2018-2021.

New road will connect Newton Road to UIHC

For the first time in more than a decade, there are plans for a new road on campus. The project will connect Newton Road to the fountain entrance of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, which will make way for construction of the hospital's new inpatient tower.

UI plans Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories remodel, expansion

The UI has planned a remodel and expansion project for one of the most interesting buildings on campus, the Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories, which will then become the permanent home of the rapidly growing Department of Computer Science. Research laboratories currently located in the building will remain.

Game-day experience will improve with Duane Banks Field renovation

A renovation project is planned for Duane Banks Field to improve the game-day experience for all Hawkeye baseball fans. Elements of the project include increased stadium capacity and an enhanced fan experience with premium seating opportunities, additional concessions, and expanded restrooms.

These are among the winning images selected for the 2023 International Programs annual photo contest as part of International Education Week, Nov. 13-17, which aims to inspire greater awareness of the many ways the UI community can experience international education.

From Navy physical therapist to civilian medical student

After serving as a Navy physical therapist in tours around the world, Will Sgrignoli has now started the next chapter of his career as a medical student at the Carver College of Medicine. His experiences give him a perspective on patient care that he hopes to share with his classmates and an understanding of fellow service members that he will use to provide informed care for Veterans.
