UI selects Jill Kolesar as College of Pharmacy dean

Jill Kolesar has been selected as the next dean of the College of Pharmacy. Kolesar comes to Iowa from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, where she is the Dr. Michael Karpf Endowed Chair in Precision Medicine and research professor. She will begin on July 15.

UI opens new training center for men’s, women’s wrestling programs

The Goschke Family Wrestling Training Center will soon open as a premiere training facility for Iowa’s men’s and women’s wrestlers. The new building features nearly twice as much practice space for the teams, as well as a tunnel connecting it to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. A building dedication will take place on May 30.

UI Health Care ranked No. 1 ‘most humanizing’ health care brand nationally

UI Health Care has been ranked the No. 1 “most humanizing” health care brand and No. 19 “most trusted” health care brand in the U.S., according to a recently published brand report. The report looks at more than 200 brands in 66 markets to identify the best health care experiences in the nation.

Prepare for upcoming Cambus route changes on Newton Road

As construction begins on a new road that will connect Newton Road to the university campus of UI Health Care, some Cambus routes will be changing. Familiarize yourself with these changes and plan to stay up to date by downloading the Transit app and favoriting the routes you take.

Traffic changes coming to I-80/First Avenue interchange in Coralville today

As progress continues on the Interstate 80/First Avenue interchange at exit 242 in Coralville, please be aware of these traffic changes that begin today. According to the City of Coralville, the new on-ramp from First Avenue to I-80 westbound has opened, and northbound and southbound traffic on First Avenue will be one lane in each direction using both new bridges in the new diverging diamond traffic pattern.

James Jorris, who works in patient financial services at University of Iowa Health Care and is the outgoing Staff Council president, has not stopped giving back to Iowa since his time as a student. He and his former college roommate, Kevin Meredith, have remained close friends and are lead alumni volunteers for the university.
