Multicultural Showcase

All are welcome to attend the University of Iowa 2023 Multicultural Showcase on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 7 p.m. in the IMU. The Multicultural Showcase is part of the University of Iowa’s (UI) annual celebration of International Education Week (November 13-17).   

The Multicultural Showcase exists to introduce UI students, faculty, staff, and the greater Iowa City community to different cultures through various vocal and dance performances, ethnic dishes to try, as well as interactive tabling hosted by student organizations and UI colleges and departments.  

Food and tabling will begin at 7 p.m. and the showcase will start at 8 p.m. 

Bridging Domestic and Global Diversity

Bridging Domestic and Global Diversity is a semester-long leadership training program designed to increase intercultural awareness and skills, while enhancing understanding and connection through diversity. Focus is on increasing self-awareness while building intercultural leadership skills.

The program brings together undergraduate and graduate/professional domestic and international students at the University of Iowa. Students selected to participate in the Bridge program will be one of approximately 25 UI students identified to receive intercultural and diversity leadership training.

IWP Panel Discussion: Images of America

This Friday, November 3rd, join us at 12 PM in Meeting Room A of the Iowa City Public Library for our final panel discussion, "Images of America."

Our "Images of America" panel is an annual fixture of the Residency calendar. The writers speak extemporaneously on their experiences of the U.S. and Iowa, sharing what they learned and what they will take home with them. This is always a surprising, funny, poignant conversation, so we really do hope that you'll make it. You can also watch live via the ICPL YouTube channel. For those able to attend in person, free pizza will be provided.
