MURI focuses on high-risk basic research aimed at achieving unprecedented advancements. The program has produced significant scientific breakthroughs with far reaching consequences to the fields of science, economic growth, and revolutionary new military technologies. Communication with program staff is strongly encouraged, and whitepapers are due May 2, 2025.
The Foundation's mission is to help infants and young children, focusing on projects that improve their health, nutrition, and protect them from environmental dangers. There are larger grants for faculty and smaller awards for trainees. Concept papers are due May 15 and November 15 of each year.
Description: The Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program serves to increase access to multi-user scientific and engineering instrumentation for research and research training in our Nation's institutions of higher education and not-for-profit scientific/engineering research organizations.
