Undergraduate Research Conference

The Undergraduate Research Conference was created for students by students to give UI's undergraduates a low-risk space to learn about undergraduate research.  Students gather for a 3 hour conference (with food!) to hear from a faculty speaker, learn about what undergraduate research is, and find out how to get involved.  This year's conference will be geared toward first and second year students (though all years are welcome!) who are interested in research involvement.

There will have breakout sessions including: getting involved in research, graduate school/careers in research, research beyond STEM fields, how to read a research paper, resume & CV workshop, and getting support/funding for your research. Also, have Dr. Fisher discuss his experience getting involved with and continuing his research.
