Regalia Ordering Options

Regalia is available for purchase through the Herff Jones online portal (home shipping available) and at the Iowa Hawk Shop and University Bookstore in the Iowa Memorial Union (limited availability).

Order online by April 17 to have your regalia shipped to your home. Shipping fees apply.

Important: All graduates must have their regalia before their commencement ceremony. Regalia will not be available for purchase or rental at the ceremonies.

Graduation Support Program

The Dean of Students Graduation Support Program provides financial assistance to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students facing financial hardship. This program helps cover the cost of graduation apparel and materials for those who may be unable to afford participation in commencement ceremonies.

Commencement Program Information

The University of Iowa Commencement Program lists degree candidates from each college, organized by degree type. Your inclusion in the program is not tied to your participation in the ceremony.

• Your name will appear based on when you earn or are expected to earn your degree, but inclusion does not confirm completion of degree requirements.
• Summer and fall graduates will be listed in the fall program, even if they attend the spring ceremony.
• If you apply for your degree after the deadline, your name may not appear in the program.
• If you have a directory restriction on your record, your name may be excluded from the program.

How to Review Your Directory Settings in MyUI

• In MyUI on the Student Data Restriction page, select No for both University Directory and Public Release of Academic Information.
• Address or phone number restrictions do not affect program inclusion.

Check your settings before Sunday, April 13, 2025, to ensure your name appears in the program.

Venues

The spring 2025 commencement ceremonies will take place at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and Hancher Auditorium.

Ceremony Livestream

All spring 2025 ceremonies will be livestreamed with captions. You can access the livestream through the individual ceremony pages, under the “Watch Live” section. We recommend bookmarking the page or the YouTube link for easy access.

Degrees will be conferred, and graduates who RSVP’d "I plan to participate" will be individually recognized. If you’re unable to watch the livestream during the premiere, the ceremonies will be available for later viewing on the University of Iowa YouTube channel.

Commemorative Slides

To add a commemorative slide photo in MyUI, please submit your photo by Monday, April 28, 2025.
