  • Summer 2023 Courses
    • .Early registration for summer 2023 is March 6-10.

    • If you plan on taking a summer course, please schedule an advising appointment in February to be authorized to register for summer courses.

    • You will also want to make sure that all holds are removed from your account prior to March 6. Check your account to see if you have holds now.  

    • Exact registration dates/times have not yet been assigned.

  •  Fall 2023 Courses
    • Fall 2023 courses and schedule builder are now available.

    • Please note that some departments will still be making changes to the courses on MyUI in the coming few weeks.

  • Final Drop Deadline: The deadline to drop individual semester-length courses without collegiate authorization (and with a W) is Monday, April 17.

CLCL Mural

The CLCL is planning to create a multilingual/multicultural mural or sets of murals this semester. We're looking for design ideas. We want to have a representation of languages, translations, and cultural. Please contribute to the design process by emailing Acacia Lopez at acacia-lopez@uiowa.edu

CLCL Mural - What do you you want to see? - The CLCL is looking to create some designs that will be turned into murals for the workspace we have. We want it to be a representation of language, translation, cultural and all things the CLCL has to offer - If you have an idea of something from your culture you want to see included and represented in the space contact the CLCL through our the lead on the project Acacia Lopez at acacia-lopez@uiowa.edu to ask questions or give suggestions - Please have your suggestions submitted by February 10th


ISAB Info Session & Spring Recruitment

ISAB (International Student Advisory Board) exists to represents international student population on campus. Their mission is to create a more inclusive campus environment by advocating for international student needs.

Writing Center

Interested in building your communication skills or getting help with a paper? The  Writing Center offers one-on-one appointments, standing weekly tutorials, and document review for students interested in developing their writing.


 

Carver Scholarship - Iowa Residents

The Carver Scholarship is available to full-time, Iowa resident, students who will be starting their junior year next fall. Eligible students must have faced obstacles in their lives. Please have filed the 2023-2024 FAFSA by March 1 (if haven’t already) and apply for the scholarship by April 1st

Eligibility Requirements: 
  • U.S. citizen and Iowa resident
  • Full-time enrollment (12 hours per semester)
  • 2.8 cumulative GPA (After spring 2023 grades)
  • Junior status for fall 2023 (Completed 60 semester hours )
  • Faced obstacles in your life (personal and/or family)
  • Demonstrate financial need by filing the 2023–2024 FAFSA - March 1
  • Complete the Carver Scholarship application online - April 1st

Gilman Scholarship Info Sessions

Please join International Programs for one of several information sessions to discuss the process of applying for a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Applications are now accepted for academic year 2023-2024 (Summer 2023, Fall 2023, Winter, 2023, and Spring 2024)

Gilman Scholarship:

  • Support those who have been underrepresented in study abroad
  • Encourage students to choose nontraditional study locations
  • Awarded to U.S. citizen undergraduates who receive the Federal Pell Grant
  • Pursing academic, credit-bearing, study aboard programs
  • Enables students to gain proficiency in diverse languages and cultures

Designed to fund a variety of activities outside the classroom, such as research, travel, and service projects.
