PCORI Foundation Seeks Letters of Intent for Comparative Clinical Effectiveness Research (CER) Projects.
PCORI is interested in several areas including: addressing comparative effectiveness studies on violence and trauma, intellectual and developmental disabilities, phased large awards, broad pragmatic studies, science of engagement, and improving CER methods. PCORI is hosting applicant town halls ahead of the May letter of intent due date.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Invites Proposals for Exploring Equitable Futures Program.
The Exploring Equitable Futures Program, previously called Pioneering Ideas for an Equitable Future, has several goals including: Economic Inclusion for Family Wellbeing, Equitable and Accountable Public Health and Healthcare Systems, and Healthy and Equitable Community Conditions. Proposals are accepted on a rolling admission until October 15, 2025.

Pew Biomedical Scholars 2026

Description: The Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences provides funding to young investigators of outstanding promise in science relevant to the advancement of human health. The program makes grants to selected academic institutions to support the independent research of outstanding individuals who are in their first few years of their appointment at the assistant professor level. Based on their performance during their education and training, candidates should demonstrate outstanding promise as contributors in science relevant to human health. 
Eligibility: Assistant Professors
Limitation: one application per institution

G. Harold and Leila Y. Mathers Charitable Foundation: Mathers Grant Program

Description: The Foundation now embraces innovative translational research proposals. The Foundation primarily supports basic science, ideally with potential translational applications. Immunology, microbiome, genomics, structural biology, cellular physiology, neuroscience, etc., are some noteworthy examples of current research support. Covid-19 related research projects (aims or sub-aims) will not be considered for support.

Reminder: NSF: EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Program: EPSCoR Collaborations for Optimizing Research Ecosystems (E-CORE)

Description: A jurisdiction’s research ecosystem is the interconnected network of organizations, researchers, trainees, community stakeholders, and resources that contribute to the process of research and innovation that advances fundamental knowledge, generates use-inspired products, and ultimately cultivates beneficial impacts for a jurisdiction. E-CORE supports jurisdictions in building significant and sustainable research capacity and research infrastructure for targeted areas of focus, hereinafter referred to as “cores,” that underlie a jurisdiction's research ecosystem.
