ITI graduate research assistant gaining acclaim through MRI work

A University of Iowa Technology Institute graduate research assistant has earned another award while working to make magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) processes quicker and more effective.
 

ITI researchers' paper makes cover of prestigious journal

The research findings of several University of Iowa scientists were featured on the front cover of the Royal Society of Chemistry's Chemical Communications journal.
 

ITI researching infrared sensors to help farmers apply fertilizer more efficiently

University of Iowa scientists, including Fatima Toor of the Iowa Technology Institute, are part of a team investigating an infrared sensor configuration that can help farmers more efficiently apply crop fertilizer.
 

Replay: CASE Colloquium featuring Bradley Cramer

The University of Iowa's Climate/Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium continued on Aug. 25, 2021, with featured speaker Bradley D. Cramer, UI associate professor of Earth and environmental sciences. The CASE Colloquium is presented by the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research and the Iowa Technology Institute.

New faces

New faces are around the ITI offices. Carson Kirchner (left) and Regan Clayton (center) are working at the front desk of the Engineering Research Facility. Will Fineman (right) has joined the MarCom team and will be based in the ITI main office in the Seamans Center annex. Will will serve a similar role as Cory Tays, who wrote news updates about ITI research and helped with social media efforts. Cory recently graduated after two years with ITI. Drop by and say, 'Hello,' to Carson, Regan, and Will.

Reminders

Performance reviews

Reminder to get started on performance reviews. Staff should get their part done and routed to their supervisor by September 22, and final routing is due on October 22, 2021. A copy of Cathy Koebrick’s September 10th presentation “Preparing for Your Own Performance Review” can be found here.
